Redfish Lake Idaho Photo Tour / Workshop

Enter into a vast playground where mornings refresh and welcome you with a crisp autumn breath of mountain air. Rising from the valley floor, the Sawtooth range scrapes the sky with its craggy, jagged peaks.  Here you will rediscover the artist, the poet, and perhaps the adventurer within you that finds oneself beckoned to grasp the indescribable majestic presence of a land full of memory.

Start the day in anticipation as mornings rise over Redfish Lake bathing the vistas before you with the warmth of golden light upon the Sawtooths.

A Photo Tour Through the Sawtooths

Meander down a creek side stream, swollen with brisk mountain water, capturing moment after moment of a beauty that reminds us to slow down and treasure what is right before our eyes. Stop in for breakfast at one of the best bakeries you’ll ever enjoy. Whether your tastes are sweet or savory, you are welcome here -  inviting and delicious and simply as captivating as the landscape that surrounds. Gather around the table with others who cherish capturing moments in time, learning from one another as well as our dedicated instructors.

Exploring the surrounding landscapes held together by mountain, rivers and lakes – you’ll come to see why we never tire of returning to Redfish Lake, Stanley, Idaho, the Sawtooth range and the Salmon River that winds through these canyon walls.  Return to your cabin in the woods at the ever-welcoming Redfish Lake Lodge. The warmth of a roaring fire invites you home in the evening where you’ll relish in the day's adventures.  However, don’t retire for the evening just yet.  You’ve just stepped into the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve – the first designated dark sky reserve in the United States.  Here, the heavens are on display in wonder! The night sky, unhindered by light pollution, puts on a show unparalleled by anything you’ve seen.  The galactic core of the Milky Way stretches across the night canvas ablaze with unending possibilities for composing stunning astrophotography.

Join us this Fall as we transport you through the very best landscape, macro and astro photographic opportunities in the Northwest at Redfish Lake Lodge, Redfish, Idaho on a photo tour you will never forget.
